| THE
COMPANY:
Pizco
Films was started just a few months ago when Pedro Pizarro set out
on a life-mission to create a film company that would be known globally
in the near future. Pedro Pizarro was funded by his father, Pete
Pizarro, to start his own company at sixteen years old.
Pizco
Films started as a company just dreamt up by the minds of the teens
who have fabricated visions of careers in the film industry. It
has now become a real company under Pedro Pizarro, and is just starting
to take off.
The team
at Pizco Films has just begun to get serious about all of their
filmmaking careers, and about the movies that they are currently
working on releasing. Pizco Films has a bright future ahead of itself.
With drama, action, comedy, and other short films on the horizon,
many viewers will get to experience the finer side of life soon
enough.
THE EQUIPMENT:
Many people
believe that editing can be done with just a simple computer in
just a few hours. Once they dig deeper into the world of editing,
they realize that digital video editing is one of the most demanding
processes to ever run on a computer system. Another note, if something
crashes or takes a plunge while you are editing, you usually tend
to get extremely mad from the loss of data. This basically means
you will have to restart from scratch. The team
at Pizco Films did not want to take any chances with Windows PC
editing, so they have purchases the following equipment to aid in
their editing.
- Dual
1.25 Ghz G4 Processors
- 2
GB of total system RAM
- 4x
DVD Burner
- 20
inch Apple Studio Display
- Macintosh
10.3 Panther Operating System (for reliability unheard of with Windows
XP)
The
shot above shows the editing system that is used at the Pizco Films
Studio (which conveniently happens to be located in the room of
Pizco Films' founder Pedro Pizarro).
Recently the Pizco Films team purchased a Panasonic DVX100a (pictured below) to film their upcoming summer film of 2004 and other shorts which should be released later this year.
In
addition to the system that they have bought from Apple Computer,
they have also bought many other add-ons which have been crucial
to the video editing process.
